You can't always get...

You must be intentional about what you do and why you’re doing it. Give life your best shot and show up completely, and then be okay with things turning out differently than you had planned. Don't act like an angry child, sometimes, we don’t get what we want, how we wanted it, when and where we wanted it, but somehow it ends up being exactly what we needed (and sometimes we don’t know how we needed it until much later).

When life doesn’t turn out the way we’d hoped, planned, or expected, we feel tremendous disappointment and start doubting everything, including ourselves. Your disappointment might be the best thing that has ever happened to you. It opens the door to opportunities for healing our past issues, changing how we’re living now, and creating a future based on who we are — not who we expected to be. As Stroke Warriors, we must learn to accept and expect the way we live our lives now and in the future. Things may never change or they may change in a way that turns out to be better than we ever imagined.

Life is full of disappointments, failures, and setbacks. None of those things can permanently stop you. You have the power in you to overcome anything that life throws at you. There is nothing as powerful as a made-up mind. Don't forget to surround yourself with people who remind you that you matter, and support you in the ways that matter most to you. No person, situation, or circumstance can define who you are. Don’t give up, cave in, or stop believing that it’s possible. It’s not over until you win.

You can't always get what you want

But if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.
